DPT Kaufungen, Lauf 2 (28/10/2012)

Hessische Meisterschaften Sprint + DPT, 2. Lauf, 2.2km + 15hm
Was second after the first run, 30s behind the first and 40s before the third. Wanted to defend the place and maybe try to catch the first - not very likely as she was the faster runner, but who knows. Start was in 1 min. slots, first starts first, etc. - so first aim was never to let the starter after me come near enough to see and catch me, second aim was to try and catch the one before me.
First part of the course was with some short and trickier one controls, second part had longer legs and more emphasis on running. Thought I'd saw the 3. runner once and tried frantically to get away from her - turned out it was someone else in the same dress. Then catched the leading girl somewhere in the middle of the course, but had to slowly let her get away again, as she was running faster than I was able to follow. Tried to keep her in sight for as long as possible and stay near enogh, but lost in the end. Still fun and made me fight really hard...

7) Lost maybe 10s there when I was confused by another control (which definetely couldn't be mine and was continuing a bit slower from there to my control)
