German Champs middle distance; 3,6 km + 210 m climb

Quite a lot of climb, and lots of it in 1 go (and partly unnecessary in my mind). Pretty unreadable map as you can see in the scan and in parts very ugly terrain. O-wise it was fun until 5 (though difficult to read), then climbing down around 175m climb straight through the ugliest terrain imaginable (at least for me it wasn't possible to even wander fast through most of it), then climb back most of it over 2 controls - ugly part, bad course setting in my mind. After that it got nicer again, but still amounted to one of the least enjoyable courses and races I had in a while.
Ended up 6th and last, but with only a 3 min. to 5th
Details:
3) Climbed a bit too far to the right and was confused by that first. 2 min?
6) Was thinking that after the stream it will be uphill again and was chosing the direct route because of that (am slow uphill anyway, so no need for path routes). Had I realized that it's all downhill and that the terrain is that ugly, I'd choosen a longer route with paths and might have saved a considerable amount of time. Guess I could have been more than 5 min. faster even with a long detour here...
12) Was too dumb to just run along the stream (and it was way too muddy there), came too low and was quite confused for a while 1:30 or 2 min?
